Wilder Bluff

If you are planning to visit Wilder Bluff Park near 55th and Belmont on Tuesday, August 3 or Wednesday, August 4, please be aware that we will have crews doing work on the pavement in the north end of the parking lot. Part of the parking lot will be blocked off for those two days. Thank you for your patience as we work to keep our parks safe and fun for the community!

The Wilder Bluff shelter is currently available for rent for dates August 1, 2021 - December 31, 2021. Rentals for 2022 will be available beginning on Monday, January 3, 2022. All rentals are done in person at the Shawnee Civic Centre, 13817 Johnson Drive.

Wilder Bluff features over 40 acres of parkland with a unique treetop canopy playground, hillside slide and a natural themed sprayground. The park will open on Tuesday, July 6th, 2021. The park has a 1.38 mile trail, natural grasses and a patio overlook. The Wilder Bluff shelter includes a fireplace and a buffet ledge with power outlets.

Wilder Bluff is dedicated to the citizens of Shawnee who by vote approved the Parks and Pipes sales tax. The Parks and Pipes sales tax fully funded this project. Your continued support of park and recreation initiatives has allowed the city to create opportunities for the community to Explore, Engage and Connect.
