Splash Pads

The last day of operation for both splash pads will be on Sunday, September 26th. Thank you for a great first season! Check back next Spring for a 2022 opening date!
Shawnee Parks & Recreation is excited to add two new splash pads in 2021! The Erfurt Park and Wilder Bluff splash pads are now open. Wilder Bluff Park is located at 24200 W 55th St. and Erfurt Park is located at 24135 W. 71st St. Grab your towel and come make a splash!
Hours of Operation
Shawnee splash pads will open in the spring following the last threat of a freeze. Splash pads will remain open through Wednesday, September 29, 2021. Follow us on social media for updates regarding annual opening and closing dates.

Splash pads are open 7 days per week from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Holiday Hours
Splash Pads are open regular hours on holidays, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Splash Pad Closings
Both Splash Pads will close for the season on Wednesday, September 29th, 2021.

The splash pads are closed any time there is lightning in the area. Please check the lightning detector posted next to each splash pad. If the detector reads blue or red, please exit the splash pad.

We have no scheduled closures at this time.
Splash Pad Rules
  • No lifeguard on duty
  • Children under the age of 9 must be supervised by a guardian
  • Do not use the feature if you feel unwell or have experienced diarrhea within the past 24 hours
  • Toddlers not potty trained must wear appropriate swim diapers while using the feature
  • No food or drink is permitted
  • No smoking
  • No pets allowed
  • Water is treated with chlorine and recirculated. Do not drink the water!
  • No running or horseplay
  • Skateboards, rollerblades, bikes and scooters are prohibited in splash pad areas
  • Splash pad is not to be used when the lightning detector reads blue or red
  • All individuals using splash pad do so at their own risk
