2024 Shawnee Pool Staff Training Dates

The City required Orientation will be held on May 19, 2024 at Shawnee City Hall, 11110 Johnson Drive. To attend the training, you must have completed all paperwork as well as taken the drug test by May 10th. This is a paid training.
Concession/Front Desk Dates
  • Cashier/Concession Training May 14, 2024 4pm-7pm (TASAC)
  • Cashier/Conession Training May 15, 2024 4pm-7pm (Splash Cove)

Cashiers and Conession Staff must attend BOTH trainings.


CPR Class –Limited Class Sizes (sign up for only one if not certified)

  • CPR Class May 3, 2024 4pm-5pm
  • CPR Class May 10, 2024 4pm-5pm
  • CPR Class May 18, 2024 9am-10am
Lifeguards Dates
NEW LG Classes (Only choose the one you can fully attend)
May 4-18, 2024 Times Vary

LG Review (you must complete online section)
May 24, 9am-4pm
All Lifeguards Certified prior to 2024 need to complete Review

LG EAP May 20, 2024 4pm-7pm at TASAC
LG EAP May 21, 2024 4pm-7pm at Splash Cove

You must attend BOTH EAPs.  There will be no make-up. 

Waterpark and and O2 Training* - May 24, 9am-12pm at TASAC
*Waterpark and O2 is only for individuals certified LG elsewhere

Swim Instructor Training
