Bike Registry Program

The City of Shawnee Fire Department and Police Department are excited to launch the Shawnee Bike Registry Program. It is easy for Shawnee residents to sign up and we will keep your information on file in case your bike ever gets lost or stolen. Here's how it works!

  • Take your bike to any of these locations to get it registered:

  • John B. Glaser Fire Station at 6501 Quivira
  • Station 72 at 5840 Renner Road
  • Station 73 at 6805 Hedge Lane Terrace
  • Station 74 at 5300 Woodsonia
  • Police Department at 5850 Renner Road | Monday through Friday | 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  • A firefighter or police officer will record your bike's serial number and log your information into our local database.
  • You will get a sticker to put on your bike that will let a person know what to do if they find the bike that has been lost or stolen. (Pictured below)
  • You will also receive an e-mail from the City with your bicycle serial number, registry number and additional safety information.

And that's it! Then, if your bike is ever lost or stolen, just call our Police Department at (913) 631-2150 and let them know that it was registered with the Shawnee Bike Registry. We will then be able to easily contact you if and when your bike is found. This program is available to Shawnee residents only, but is open to all ages and all bicycles! Please note your information will not be used for any other purposes. Questions? Give us a call at (913) 742-6102 or e-mail Fire Marshal Corey Sands.
