Update on Johnson County Health Order
Posted on 01/31/2021

On Monday, December 14, the Shawnee City Council voted 4-4 against a Consent Agreement with Johnson County that would have allowed Johnson County Code Officers to enforce the County's Health Order No. 002-20 in the County Codes Court. On January 28, 2021, the Board of Public Health voted to extend the Public Health Order through March 31, 2021.

To be clear, the County Health Order will be enforced by City of Shawnee staff. Here is clarification on what this all means for Shawnee residents.
