Shawnee Landing Project
In 2014, the City spent several months examining the possibility of a new retail development project at the southwest corner of Shawnee Mission Parkway and Maurer.

On March 5, 2015, the City was contacted by representatives of the project developer, SMPW Fund I, LLC, who informed city officials that they would not be moving forward with the project due to a variety of challenges, including scheduling and funding.
