Council Actions

The Shawnee City Council held a Special meeting on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. and the following actions were taken.

The Governing Body rescheduled the public hearings for the creation of the Bellmont Community Improvement District (CID) and to levy a CID sales tax and CID Special Assessments and for the adoption of the Bellmont Promenade Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Project Plan for property located at the southwest corner of Shawnee Mission Parkway and Maurer Road for July 10, 2017 at 7 p.m. (Resolution Nos. 1809 and 1810)

A contract was approved with MEGA Industries Corporation in the amount of $4,896,395.50 for the 6200 Nieman Road Storm Drainage Improvements Project, P.N. 3401.

A contract was approved with VF Anderson, LLC in the amount of $5,074,299.13 for Nieman Middle Storm Drainage and Street Improvements Project, P.N. 3424.

A contract was approved with J. Warren Co., Inc., in the amount of $153,147.50 for the 67th Street and Caenen Avenue Traffic Signal Replacement Project, P.N. 3420.

Miscellaneous Items
Lastly, the semi-monthly claims for June 6, 2017 (city-wide expenses for the period) were approved.
